Dr. John W. Welborn is a lecturer in economics, mathematics, regulation, and political economy at Dartmouth College. His research concerns stock lending and options pricing. He was previously a postdoctoral research fellow at Columbia Business School. He holds a PhD in Economics from George Mason University, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and a BA in Economics modified with Math from Dartmouth College. Welborn's research has appeared in the Journal of Financial Markets, the Journal of Empirical Finance, the Cato Journal, and Regulation Magazine. He is the founder and principal of Welborn Economics LLC, where he specializes in big data analysis, damage modeling, and litigation support.
